Description

CIRRUS VK-30: $265,000 FOR SALE: Experimental Cirrus VK-30 aircraft. BEAUTIFUL aircraft!!! Literally only a couple exist that are not yet flying, one of a kind and very nice. Little bit of a project with not much left to do. Powered by included Allison 250-B17C. Originally completed 2005. Flown from 2005 thru 2008. Built and flown in Switzerland to full certification standards with extra engineering assistance directly from Cirrus Design at the time. Significant engineering data is included that all other VK-30 did not have available. Aircraft has about 75 total hours with test pilot comments. Aircraft was shipped to U.S. about 2010 where it sat in a hangar until late 2022. Moved to Utah for working by licensed A P, aeronautical engineer, and USAF lead composite engineer to repair, reassemble, and bring airworthy commenced. Avionics/panel brought to operational, no glass but full FR. Only missing Transponder, ADSB, and ELT. Wing was found to be damaged during disassembly in Switzerland, engineering and repair along with full load testing (plus and minus limit loads) was accomplished by composite specialized engineering personnel with test photos/results included. It's in excellent shape! Has the new/improved tail drive housing, graphite drive shaft, Addax shaft coupling, with Cirrus supplied updated wing assembly. New, 5 blade MT propeller. Current Allison 250-B17C turbine engine included and built from modules with respectable TSO remaining. Gear has been swung and control systems verified. Aircraft cannot be flown out as its in fit-up only and needs a couple of items addressed i.e. one fuel pump, some plumbing, transponder/ELT/ADSB, spinner, some paint where repairs occurred... The aircraft was de-registered from its original Swiss registration and would need to be inspected by a DAR and registered in the USA. An FAA Bill of Sale from the original owner is in hand. This is an excellent small project with only minimal work required. She'll be "The Bell of the Ball" wherever you take her. Contact Kat Sullivan
