About the Vans RV-10 being built
The Van's RV-10 is the four-seat RV — a genuine family cross-country aircraft that cruises ~175 kt on a 260 hp Lycoming IO-540, with a roomy cabin, gull-wing doors and the RV handling pedigree. The RV-10 is the experimental answer to a Cessna 182 or Cirrus SR22: comparable or better performance at a fraction of the factory-aircraft price, in a four-seat family configuration. As the RV with the most "real airplane" mission, build quality and documentation matter enormously.
