About the Piper Saratoga
The Piper PA-32 family is the six-seat, club-seating Cherokee — a stretched single designed to carry a family or six adults at meaningful speeds. The line evolved from the fixed-gear Cherokee Six (PA-32-260/300) through the retractable Lance (PA-32R) to the modern Saratoga (PA-32-301), available in normally-aspirated Saratoga II HP (300 hp IO-540) and turbocharged Saratoga II TC. With a big cabin, club seating and a 165-knot cruise (II HP), the Saratoga is one of the most practical family-haulers in general aviation.
Produced 1980–2009. Total produced: 2,200.
